My Fashionable Life

It was a very busy week. I mean for fashion it was a very very exhausting week.

At first I didn’t wanna see any of these shows but I realize that after this long school break before university (Chula Inter begins around the 15th August) I will have so a little time for fashion. And here are some of the shows, sorry to not write a review because I am soooooooooo busy with my new project! (No, no, no. It’s not my wedding one, not just yet.)

cK Private Fashion Show
Love love love its minimalist style, not too different from its main line but the price is much more comfortable. All models were celebrities and movie stars…I think they should have hired less-known models and have spent more on the show. Fanta kept me company today…and took almost all the photos ;)

Bangkok International Fashion Week

Asava Inspired by Singha and Theatre. The first one had a very good taste but boring show while the latter was a spectacular African theme with a lot of decorations and body painting. They looked good on catwalk but I believe they all would look cheap in their store.

Nongnu dressed in Ab-baew style. Kidding na. She looked so young with that cardigan and all her clothes. While I looked anorexia in this layering and voluming shirt!

That’s all for today. Next time I’ll report you Elle Fashion Week. Don’t miss because it was just so SEXY!

Product Launch

Two new products of the century!

Next Step for Men
For Men trend is a phenomenal. From basic moisturizer to spa treatment, almost everything is made exclusively for men these days. What else can it go 'for men'?
Here is the answer. Pocky for men! I haven't bought Pocky myself for decades now. You might think of its two traditional flavors: chocolate and strawberry. Dark brown and pink colors are not enough to distinguish the sex? Apparently, no.

I haven't tasted it though because it costs too much for me.
You can't find this kind of Pocky at Sho-Huay shops next door though. Pocky Men's is available at supermarket in Emporium and Paragon along with many other kinds of Pocky. Get it why it is so costly?

Next Step for iPod
From click-wheel control, then picture and video display, to touch-screen portable music player. What Apple does is always surprising. But let us introduce the new iPod. Thinner-than-ever iPod! Thanks for the model, P'Ploy...nice hand!

Atonement

This movie has easily become one of favorite movies of all time.
I'm not sure whether it is based on a novel I've seen Atonement or not but I'm sure that both the movie and the novel will be fantastic just like The Cold Mountain which I adore.

But a favorite movie doesn't mean it good, at least not necessary. The story is about a girl who lies because of jealously. Briony the girl accuses her sister's lover a criminal. The effect of her evil act is that a couple of young lovers set apart, by society and by war but mostly by her false story. As we know in life, when you lie about something, you have to live with it and have to lie more and more endlessly. Atonement encapsulates all human's greed to a very beautiful and memorable movie. All the actors and actresses show their great ability. I'm still not sure whether it has been cut or not but the movie is too short, just an hour and a half proximately. And that is a very huge problem here. You need more time to elaborate such a profound story and such a beautiful and touching movie.

Everything Bad is Good for You

I was to canceled my membership at AUA library. Suddenly, this shock-pink book with a man who has a television as his head appeared. Hence, I ended up paying them for more one year membership despite the fact that I was broke! And here is my brief review of the book.

Grand Theft Auto and Desperate Housewives might not that unfruitful as we think. We assume that reading book is more beneficial than playing video games since books stimulate children's imagination while video game does not nothing but cultivates our children with violence and impatience.

But what if it's all wrong?

Personally, I didn't find this book WONDERFULLY ENTERTAINING as Malcolm Gladwell remarked. However, the author, Steven Johnson, has done a very good journalism and analyze pop culture in a very different ways. And you should not miss it if you are interested in multimedia culture or want some good reasons to argue your parents that what you are doing (like watching Prison Break all day) is not useless as they think.

All in all, you may cannot replace People magazine with this provocative book, you can still enjoy its witty style of writing with a lot of unorthodox facts and opinions.

Available at Kinokuniya's.
